Dang.. I just looked at the posts on my blog and realised that the last 5 posts have been about subscription boxes. Oops!
Talk about not planning well. In honesty, I did film a vlog the other day but felt that it was very long and I wanted to re-film before I put it up again.
So what have I been up to lately?
I dyed my hair black, yes, I no longer enjoyed the red copper tones that my hair gets after the colour fades.
I also became a lot more free. In the last few weeks I actually felt free for the first time in a while. Reason being that I’m not forcing myself to work as hard as I did and just take time off. So yes, there are many times when I feel really bored (I know, right, bored) and some times I just feel less productive – which can be problematic. So I sought out to spend more time with my blog and YouTube channel.
Having said this, I have actually focused more on stopping the “talk” that goes on in my brain. You know the talk where you freak out because you’re almost 30 and you seem like you haven’t done anything and you don’t know what you’re doing and you’re still not where you want to be and everyone seems to be doing something cool on facebook but nothing you do seems to work and you feel less and less motivated and then freak out and feel like you have to do something but it all just doesn’t seem like it’s not working? (Takes a deep breath) (more…)
What a funny week it’s starting out to be. With the arrival of just one email from Redpawpaw this week, has angered thousands of Australian consumers and subscribers of the grocery subscription box.
I actually heard of this incident from twitter, when @grumguy mentioned the angry thread on facebook. I quickly jumped over to the Redpawpaw facebook page and yes indeed, thousands of angry comments raging on about what a “scam” Redpawpaw is and this is all a “bait and switch” and the Managing Director, Sarah Costin, is “changing jobs like she’s changing jobs”. Ever-so-dramatic.
What are they angry over?
If you have watched my YouTube review for the June 2014 Redpawpaw subscription box, you will have seen my display of products received for just $5 (remember the video with the Adriano Zumbo macaron?) The Redpawpaw subscription box was initially $5 per month (including delivery) to trial the box and complete a product review and $10 per month if you wanted to just use the products without giving a review.
Tis an old box but I can’t wave the box in front of you without showing you what’s inside. That’s just rude!
I have put up a quick video with the goodies inside the June Native Box 2014. I have eaten the chocolate so far. That was interesting. Very intense orange flavour and very smooth. I can’t believe that it’s vegan friendly and Halal as well. Dang.. so awesome! If you want your box or if you’re still not sure how it works, check out their “How it works” page on the site.
Anyway, hope you enjoy the video. If you haven’t already done so, subscribe or like. I thank you kindly for your support! 😀

Today is the BATTLE of the Healthy Subscription boxes and we have here,
Notox Box versus Native Box
Two Australia healthy subscription boxes that offer organic, non-toxic, vegan friendly (sometimes) products and snacks in these monthly boxes. I just subscribed to notox box recently and thought to compare the two and see how similar or different they are to each other.
What I compared:
Who will win this month you ask? Well you will have to watch the video. Yes, it is a little long and I did try to get through as quickly as possible. Perhaps next month it won’t be so long as I don’t have to talk about the concept and background and price and stuff like that.
If you want to know the final verdict, skip to the end.
Otherwise, thank you for watching and please give it a thumbs up if you like the video.
ps – I’m trying to learn a different video editor and hopefully soon my videos will be more complex and awesome. 😀 Yay!

I was going to do an unboxing and review of the June 2014 Bellabox beauty subscription box but unfortunately, the box didn’t wow me at all. If anything, I actually felt really ripped off.
The bellabox beauty subscription box is $15.00 per month and you are meant to receive deluxe samples of new and interesting products to try. The first box I received was the May 2014 box which I received during my over-excitement of this new concept of subscription boxes. When I received the bellabox, I felt, “Oh”. Not really impressed. The product that I really wanted to try was the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel. Every beauty guru I’ve watched RAVES ON about Anastasia, so I thought, that the bellabox would be a good option. When I received the box, I was not impressed with the tiny sample size of the brow gel. I actually received the May box free, so I can’t complain right.
Anyway, skip a month forward and this time, I did have to pay for the bellabox. I filmed the whole unboxing of the box and everything but I don’t think I sounded too impressed. There were a lot of things in it but $15 for samples… I dunno.. compare that to the Red Paw Paw box (or is it referred to as redpawpaw) which I pay $5 for FULL SAMPLES. You just cannot compare the two.
