Yes I turned 30 on Sunday 26th October 2014. No, I didn’t get Nando’s for free – I should’ve went to get some though.
I spent my thirtieth with friends at Rosebud this year. A mini getaway for us all to beach land and winery land = my two favs.
Initial thoughts …
I did say I wasn’t going to celebrate my 30th unless I had my own place. And I was still going to stick to it but one of my friend’s was coming back all the way from America and I thought, I might do something. I asked myself, how I really wanted to spend my birthday and honestly, I didn’t want to get pissed at a bar and I didn’t want to do it at my folks place. So I booked a nice holiday house away and I guess in some ways, the place was mine for the night.
How I celebrated my 30th …
It was a lovely little villa in Rosebud. Enough beds and roomy enough for 11 of us. Lovely get away. I made a lot of food. (more…)
Another quick post – Native Box October 2014
It did come in a little later than normal from the wait time for suppliers to send in the good stuff. Nonetheless, we have it!
There’s number of goodies in the box this month AND they have those squiggly worm paper as well now. LOL Must be the new thing!
Anyway, here is what’s inside the box:
Honestly, I am so sick that I wrote Violet Box September 2014 as the title AGAIN! October must’ve been a blur.
So this is the October 2014 Violet Box and this month seems like it’s all about them lips! Slightly less “chocablock” as the $5 Violet Box (Not sure if it’s sold out, but if you missed it, here is the blog post – Limited Spring Carnival $5 Violet Box)
Let’s see what’s inside!
As you may know, I was in Sydney for the weekend and was lucky enough to get myself into “Red Lantern“. Yes, Red Lantern, Luke Nguyen, Pauline Nguyen and Mark Jensen’s restaurant in Surrey Hills. Was a pleasurable evening and the food was delicious. I literally was so stuffed with awesome food that I found it so hard to walk by the end of the night.
We got the “Saigon Scrumptious” Tasting Menu which had 8 dishes and 1 platter of 3 desserts. I did want to get the Delicious Dalat but knew I wouldn’t be able to finish the wine as well as the food. That would be WAYYYY to fun. (more…)
Yes, tis true. A Choca-block $5 Spring Carnival Violet Box!
Watch the video to see what is inside and how to get your hands on one! (more…)
RedPawPaw Review for October 2014, in case you were wondering what was inside and did not find out on their Facebook page.
I will say, if you don’t want spoilers, then do not scroll down any further or click on the video below – as I have everything listed.
Before I do that, why don’t I just tell you how I feel. I actually feel good about this month’s Redpawpaw box. It has a number of items in there and most of the items are full sized. No more small things! It still doesn’t have that same WOW factor as the first month’s box (yet). Though, it’s only a matter of time before Redpawpaw get back to that awesome box that I remembered it to be.
Don’t get me wrong. The Red pawpaw October 2014 box is still pretty awesome. I did some calculations and it came to a very reasonable price. Definitely exceeded their $30 a month of value this month!
Let’s have a look at what’s inside: (more…)
